Nevada’s Republican governor today laughed at the thought of voting for his would-be Republican successor in the race to replace him. In video first posted on Twitter, Gov. Brian Sandoval initially laughed when asked about how he planned to vote in Nevada’s gubernatorial election this November before saying he was “undecided.”

Nevada Republicans nominated Attorney General Adam Laxalt earlier this year to be the party’s nominee to replace Sandoval in the governor’s mansion. Sandoval is not running for re-election due to term limits.

Laxalt has been dogged by controversies and unforced errors throughout his campaign this year. This spring, he generated weeks of negative media coverage for touting the support of a controversial local sheriff, Gerald Antinoro. Antinoro was the target of numerous complaints and allegations of misconduct. Laxalt ultimately scrubbed his website of the endorsement.
