While Rep. Steve Pearce doesn’t mention abortion on his campaign website, he is planning to appear this weekend with anti-abortion activists who have actively pushed QAnon and other far-right conspiracies as his campaign for governor enters its final weeks.
Rep. Steve Pearce likened efforts to get Latino voters to the polls in 2016 to Russia’s interference to help elect Donald Trump. “At a time when we’ve got the Mueller investigation going on to determine if the Russians were influencing elections, actually it’s happening right under Mueller’s nose that Google was trying to rig the elections,” said Pearce, the GOP nominee for New Mexico governor.
A recording obtained by the American Ledger revealed Yvette Herrell telling a small group of GOP supporters that she always viewed her current seat in the state House of Representatives as a stepping stone to Congress.
Rep. Steve Pearce repeatedly voted to weaken ethical oversight while in Congress but is campaigning for governor on creating an ethics watchdog to regulate the behavior of state lawmakers.
